Recording Data Streaming

UART Trigger (D7)

Send the D7 command via UART to start recording. The chip will begin encoding MIC input into MP3 format and streaming the data through the TX pin in real‑time.

Button Trigger (P01)

Pull the P01 pin low to start recording. The chip will immediately begin capturing audio and outputting MP3 data via UART TX. Release (pull high) to stop recording.

MP3 Data Format

The audio is encoded into MP3 format with the current sampling rate setting (default 16K). The data stream can be captured by any UART‑capable device and saved as a .MP3 file.

Timing: The interval between UART data packets is 46ms. Recording commands require a gap of >220ms between command and recording start. Wait ≥300ms after power‑up before sending commands.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the WT2000L-R011 solution?

WT2000L-R011 is an audio recording and upload solution based on the WT2000L 32-bit DSP chip. It supports high-quality recording with real-time MP3 audio data streaming via UART, with built-in Flash storage options of 2M, 4M, or 8M.

How is audio data transmitted?

Audio data is encoded into MP3 format and streamed in real-time via the UART TX pin. Recording can be triggered by UART command (D7) or by pulling the P01 pin low (button trigger).

What sampling rates are supported?

WT2000L-R011 supports 8K, 12K, 16K, and 32K sampling rates for both ADC and DAC. The default is 16K.

What is the audio quality?

The 16-bit DAC achieves ≥98dB SNR, and the 16-bit ADC achieves ≥95dB SNR, delivering high-quality audio recording and playback.

What are the built-in Flash options?

The WT2000L-R011 chip is available with 2M, 4M, or 8M built-in Flash memory for storing audio files and firmware.

What is the operating voltage range?

The WT2000L-R011 chip operates from 2.7V to 5.5V, with VOUT ranging from 2.1V to 3.6V.

How do I control recording?

Recording can be controlled via UART commands (D7 to start, DA to stop) or via the P01 pin (low level triggers recording, high level stops).

What are the typical applications?

Professional audio applications, education tools, personal entertainment devices, voice recording systems, and any application requiring audio capture with real-time data transmission.

Can I change the baud rate?

Yes. Use the FB command to switch between 115200, 230400, 460800, 921600, and 1,000,000 baud rates. The default is 115200.

What is the recommended power-up delay before sending commands?

WT2000L-R011 is recommended to wait at least 300ms after power-up before sending any UART commands or pressing the button.

Important: Wait ≥300ms after power‑up before sending commands or pressing the button. The interval between UART data packets is 46ms. Recording commands require a >220ms gap between command and recording start. During recording, sampling settings, baud rate switching, and version queries cannot be sent. After switching baud rate, the host must update its baud rate within 100ms to receive the response correctly. The P01 pin is high by default and triggers recording on a low level.
