Product Introduction

The WT2003HX is a high-performance, high-quality voice chip that employs a high-performance 32-bit processor with a maximum frequency of 120MHz. It features low cost, low power consumption, high reliability, and strong versatility, comprehensively meeting customer requirements from multiple perspectives. It supports standard asynchronous serial port communication with flexible control methods. It also supports SPI-Flash as storage. The chip includes functionalities such as file index playback, insert play, single track loop, all tracks loop, and volume adjustment with 0 to 31 levels. It offers massive storage capacity, supporting up to 128M Flash disk, with built-in voice capacities of 180KB and 701KB. Currently, there are three package options: WT2003HX-16S, WT2003HX-24SS, and WT2003HP8-32N (small size 4x4mm), better suited for various application fields.

  • MP3 Control: Standard UART communication interface, default baud rate of 9600, supports setting baud rate via serial commands; supports SPI-Flash, TF card, USB drive as storage devices. Features file index playback, insert play, single track loop, all tracks loop, random play functions. Volume adjustable from 0 to 31 levels, maximum external Flash support up to 128Mbit, built-in voice space of 180KB/701KB, 32GB TF card and 32GB USB drive (supports FAT or FAT32 formats), supports FAT32 formatted USB drive for firmware upgrade (only supports V3 version upgrades, audio output method and internal FLASH voice content remain unchanged after upgrade);
  • Power-on defaults to no playback; Equipped with BUSY status indicator, low level when idle, high level during playback;
  • Supports switching audio output modes, default sample SPK output, for DAC output, refer to audio output switch command (B6);
  • Send audio channel switch command, MCU returns successful execution value before sending other commands (recommended to send other commands 200ms later);
  • Supports high-quality audio formats, MP3 and WAV formats (supports sampling rates from 8K to 44.1K, mono audio bitrate from 8kbps to 320kbps, stereo audio bitrate from 8kbps to 320kbps), beautiful sound quality;

  • Connect to computer via USB interface, computer displays Flash or TF card drive letter, directly copy audio to drive letter from computer, after copying completion, need to remove USB cable, then proceed with serial port control playback, otherwise serial port code transmission has no response;
  • Power-on initialization time 500ms-1s, due to PC mode version, requires mounting file system, initialization time is relatively longer than ordinary voice IC, recommend to establish communication connection with voice IC 500ms-1s later, for code control;
  • Key note: If the voice chip needs to hang Flash, it is recommended to use Flash from ‘Waytronic’, Flash from other manufacturers cannot guarantee normal operation (recommend drawing 150mil and 208mil dimension compatible expansion, more convenient for stocking).

  • Currently Supported chip versions for the WTV series/WT2003HX series include UART projects, one-wire projects, two-wire projects, one-wire dual-byte projects, and two-wire dual-byte projects.
  • Combined with the Waytronic program upgrade software, connect the PC via a Type-C data cable for simple, fast, and convenient replacement of projects or voices.

  • Supports WTV series chip burning tests, including one-line, two-line, UART, I2C, SPI communication.
  • Power-on default does not play, equipped with next track function via button, BUSY playback status indicator, and power status indicator.
