WT588F02B-8S Flash Voice Chip
WT588F02B-8S is Guangzhou Waytronic Electronics Co., Ltd.’s latest developed 16-bit DSP voice chip, featuring an internal oscillator of 32 MHz and 16-bit PWM decoding. Its powerful functions make WT588F02B-8S a leader in the voice chip industry. Currently, WT588F02B-8S can support storing up to 170 seconds of high-quality voice content (if the customer does not require high quality, it can store up to 320 seconds of voice content). Unlike traditional OTP chips, the most significant breakthrough of WT588F02B-8S is that customers can use the accompanying downloader to replace the voice content inside the chip online. Additionally, the voice chip integrates various resources such as hardware SPI, UART, IIC, and comparators, allowing for customization of various personalized functional products.

Functional Overview
1. 16-bit DSP voice chip, 32MHz internal oscillator;
2. Operating voltage range of 2.2 to 5.5V;
3. 16-bit PWM/DAC output capable of directly driving an 8Ω 0.5W speaker;
4. Supports WAV/MP3 audio file formats (WAV format requirements: sampling rate must not exceed 16KHz, mono; MP3 format requirements: sampling rate must not exceed 24KHz);
5. Customers can replace the voice content inside the chip via MCU or a dedicated downloader;
6. Supports one-wire serial port, two-wire serial port (UART and IIC communication will be available soon);
7. Supports up to 6 MIDI channels playback;
8. Supports over 1000 address segments;
9. Equipped with hardware SPI interface, UART interface, built-in comparator, and other interfaces. Custom functions can be designed for customers;
10. The chip has 220KB of Flash memory;
11. Both the main control program and Flash data can be erased and rewritten;
12. The chip initialization time upon power-up is approximately 200ms;
13. After the chip finishes playing, it enters sleep mode after IO pins (DATA and CLK) maintain a stable level (either high or low) for 1 second.
Selection Notes:
1. The control method of the chip is set during program burning. When ordering custom chips, please inform the sales representative of your application requirements.
2. If you need a chip with lower standby power consumption, please contact our sales representative.
3. If whether dual-byte control is needed is not specified, a total address count less than 224 segments defaults to single-byte encoding, while 224 segments or more defaults to dual-byte encoding.
4. Using 4R speakers or parallel-connected speakers may cause the chip’s PWM to experience latch-up, leading to unplayable audio until the power is cycled again. In severe cases, it may damage the chip.
