Product Introduction

WTVxxxx is a powerful high-quality voice chip that uses a high-performance 32-bit processor with a maximum frequency of 120MHz. It features low cost, low power consumption, high reliability, and strong versatility. The WTVxxxx series offers built-in storage capacities of 120 seconds, 380 seconds, 890 seconds, and 1800 seconds of voice capacity. It has a small size and high integration packaging, with flexible selection options including SOP8 (5mm*6mm), QFN20 (3mm*3mm), and QFN32 (4mm*4mm) package types. Currently, four models—WTV380-8S, WTV890-8S, WTV380-P (QFN32), and WTV890-P (QFN32)—are already in market use. Control methods are flexible: it supports UART control mode; one-wire and two-wire serial port control modes; and key control mode (key control mode requires micro-customization). It also supports the expansion of various sensor functions, such as IO control expansion, infrared proximity sensing expansion, temperature sensing expansion, battery level detection expansion, pressure sensing expansion, etc., for specific details, please refer to the selection table and manual.   • UART control mode: Standard UART communication interface, default baud rate of 9600; Supports SPI-Flash as storage. Features file index playback, insert play, single track loop, all tracks loop, random play, etc. Volume adjustable in 32 levels, maximum support for external 128Mbit Flash.
  • One-wire, two-wire serial port control mode: Can control voice playback, stop, loop playback, and volume through coding end; volume adjustable in 16 levels, supports SPI-Flash as storage, maximum support for external 128Mbit Flash.
  • Button control mode: Flexible triggering method, any button can be set as pulse repeat trigger, pulse non-repeat trigger, invalid key, level hold non-loop, level hold loop, level non-hold loop, previous track non-loop, next track non-loop, previous track loop, next track loop, volume up, volume down, play/pause, stop, play/stop, etc., up to 15 types of triggering methods, up to 10 buttons can be used for triggering control output.
  • Power-on defaults to not playing; has BUSY status indication, BUSY is high level when idle, low level during playback (can configure default BUSY status via our company’s web page for synthesizing voice bin files, choosing low level when idle and high level during playback).
  • Supports high-quality audio formats for voice, supports MP3 format (audio bit rate supports 8kbps~320kbps), beautiful sound quality.

  • Factory equipped with onekey (next track button), IO pull-down triggers next track playback function, no need for coding to debug playback sound; note: if the chip stores three audio tracks a, b, c, pulling down the onekey IO once plays track a, pulling down twice plays track b, and so on, pulling down four times plays track a again.
  • It is recommended to wait 300ms after power-on before sending codes for control, generally the chip completes power-on initialization within 160ms after power-on, the remaining 140ms time is due to the added voice update function, after power-on initialization completion, handshake determines if there is a need for voice update; if you need to shorten the chip initialization time, please contact our company for special customization, it can be done to complete power-on initialization within 60ms.
  • Voice chips need firmware and voice written before leaving the factory. Customers can also use V-Express upper computer webpage and our company’s downloader to make and download voice bin files for updates.
  • The downloader update interface is UART interface (VCC/TX/RX/GND), it is recommended to reserve space on the board, refer to the downloader manual for update operations.
  • Important note: If the voice chip needs to hang flash, it is recommended to use ‘V-Express’ flash, other manufacturers’ flash cannot guarantee normal operation. (It is suggested to draw 150mil and 208mil dimension compatible expansion, more convenient for inventory)

  • A programming test board that supports online and offline voice updates, as well as integrated functions such as voice engineering testing, making it convenient for users to modify voice content in small batches and for initial project debugging.
  • Currently Supported chip versions for the WTV series/WT2003HX series include UART projects, one-wire projects, two-wire projects, one-wire dual-byte projects, and two-wire dual-byte projects.
  • Combined with the Waytronic program upgrade software, connect the PC via a Type-C data cable for simple, fast, and convenient replacement of projects or voices.

  • Supports WTV series chip burning tests, including one-line, two-line, UART, I2C, SPI communication.
  • Power-on default does not play, equipped with next track function via button, BUSY playback status indicator, and power status indicator.
  • Compatible with WTV/WT2003H downloader for replacing WTV series voice.
